Sep 15, 2010 - Panel Discussion on Copyright and Traditional Knowledge ** One week later than usual ** |
|
Please note this meeting is held one week later than usual due to a scheduling conflict at Ryerson.
Who owns that idea? Copyright and Beaders
Join our panel as we discuss: copyright; how to incorporate existing designs into your work; how to attribute work or ideas you've borrowed; how to teach your patterns and patterns created by other beaders to ensure appropriate credit; and how to protect your work and your copyright in that work -- in classes, in magazines, in pattern packages and in books.
Panelists are Maria Rypan, from Rypan Designs, Marilyn Gardiner,
from Gardiner Design and Cathy Lampole, from That Bead Lady. Moderator: Cindy Goldrick.
